Slableford, a new neighborhood of single-family homes in Willowbrook, is offering tours of its Everette motlel home.

M/I Homes is celebrating the slart of sales at Stableford, an enclave of 22 single-family homes in Willowbrook. The homebuilder will conduct a grand opening event from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21.

During the event, potential buyers can tour the community’s newly opened and professionally decorated model home, and also enjoy wine, gourmet appetizers as well as a cooking demonstration by a professional chef. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win free raffle prizes.

Located just west of Route 83 and 91st Street, Stableford offers buyers a beautiful wooded setting and a neighborhood feel with intimate cuI-de-sacs.

“Buyers at Stableford will enjoy all the benefits of its convenient location, with great access for commuters to Route 83 and Interstate 55, but will also have very peaceful, natural surroundings for their home thanks to the community’s wooded lots and nearby forest preserves,” saidRon Martin, region president for Mil Homes. “Stableford is also an excellent opportunity t0 purchase a home served by top DuPage County schools, including Hinsdale South High School.”

Five available floor plans at Stableford measure 2,278 t0 3,097 square feet and feature three to four bedrooms, 2 ½ to 3 ½ baths, eat-in kitchens and basements. Some designs offer dens and lofts. Homes are priced from $409,990.

“We put tremendous thought into how buyers in this area really use the space in their home, and the resulting designs are smart living plans very much in keeping as much as possible during their valuable time at home, and these plans make that possible with living areas that are open to each other so everyone can stay connected.”

The new model home at Stableford showcases the 2,764-square-foot Everette floor plan, which is priced from $444,990. The four-bedroom, 2 ½ bath home comes standardwith a first-floor study, formal dining room and a large family room open to the kitchen and breakfast area.

“Due to the community’s beautiful surroundings, we decided to add an optional morning room in the model,” Bonk said. “The morning room extends the breakfast area to create a space that can serve as a more casual dining room or even a lovely seating area with plenty of windows all around.”

Another option shown in the model is the super laundry, which includes a large mud room with built-in cubbies, a storage closet, built-in desk area, and separate laundry room.

“Active families have this model bag,” Bonk said.

Upstairs, the model features an optional bonus room furnished as a game room.

“This is one of those flex spaces buyers love about our plans,” Bonk said. “In the model we envision the bonus room as a great place for teenage kids to hang out, with a big wall-mounted television and ‘hosting’ center with cabinets and a refrigerator for storing snack and drinks. But it could easily be a playroom for young children, a second family room, or even a craft room.”

Homes at Stableford come with M/I Homes’ 30-year transferable structural warranty, which not only allows buyers t0 purchase with confidence, but also adds value if the home is sold in the future. All homes are also 100 percent Energy Star-certified, and built with two-by-six exterior frame wall construction, which helps create stronger, more insulated exterior walls.
